Bike Ride Raises Cash for Railway Children

Staff from Bridgeway Consulting Ltd completed a 170-mile sponsored bike ride. The group of 16 set off from the station on a route which took them via the firm's offices in Rugby and Derby and finished at the head office in Nottingham. They chose the Railway Children after one of the directors, Brian Maddison, attended a railway safety roadshow in Birmingham where he saw a presentation from Chairman David Maidment.

Brian said

"I was so moved by the presentation about the plight of the children that live in railway stations in India and other parts of the world that I decided I should do something about it. This is a charity with a real railway connection that all of us in the rail industry can get behind."

They raised a magnificent £10,000.
