GWR Celebrates 175 years
Special events are taking place around the region to mark the 175 year anniversary of the Great Western Railway. Railway Children will be present at some of the events including the 'Day out with Thomas' at STEAM, Cotswold Festival of Steam at the Gloucestershire at Warwickshire Railway to name but a few.
Many special merchandise opportunities to celebrate the event are available, including a specially commisioned Hornby OO gauge model of 7037 Castle Class 'Swindon', available from STEAM. Available at £129.99, this model is limited to 1,000 and comes with presentaion box, certificate of authenticity, and a souvenir book about the model and locomotive by Pete Waterman.
