Collections
Whether you are celebrating a special birthday, anniversary, or collecting as part of a sponsored event, we can provide collecting pots or buckets to help you along.
We also have donation envelopes, which allow your guests to complete their details, including a gift aid declaration, if they are a UK taxpayer. This gives extra value to the donation of 25%, at no extra cost to the donor.
You can then pay the proceeds into the bank, using a paying-in slip provided by us or send a cheque payable to Railway Children to our office.
If you intend to collect in a supermarket, railway station or other establishment, you must seek permission from the management and we can provide a letter of introduction to endorse your application.
However, if you are collecting in the street, you must obtain a licence from the local licensing officer of the district authority, before you collect, giving details of the dates you intend to carry out the collection.
To request collection pots/buckets or donation envelopes, email: kaye.brindle@railwaychildren.org.uk or call 01270 757596.
