The Tsunami disaster has killed over 150,000 people and left five million homeless(as of 3rd January 2005) in South East Asia. About 9500 people have died in the South Eastern coastal areas of India and hundreds of thousands more have been displaced, mainly in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Railway Children were pleased to be chosen by the Independent on Sunday for their Christmas Appeal 2004.

Sport Relief 2004
July the 10th was the date for this years Sport Relief, the day when the whole nation was 'doing it!' to raise money for projects around the world. Sport Relief already support Railway Children projects in India and they recently sent Patrick Kielty for a look at some with a film crew.

Arriva Trains Northern employee Dionne organised a collection of old mobile phones and raised a fantastic £5,000 plus!
