“On the streets and behind closed doors, millions of children worldwide endure terrible hardship, abuse and exploitation. A Millennium Development Goal of eradicating extreme poverty and hunger will not address the needs of the most vulnerable unless greater attention is paid to the neglect and discrimination faced by these children.

thetrainline.com, the leading independent online retailer of train tickets, first pledged its support to us at the beginning of 2009 with a donation, and since then the company has continued to support Railway Children with fundraising, donations and the internet search function on its intranet. thetrainline.com has continued its support of Railway Children with two tables at the black-tie Railway Ball which takes place on 27 November.
Off the Radar
In early November, Railway Children released ‘Off the Radar’, a landmark study into the vulnerable lives, situations and experiences of street children in the UK.

Cheshire Santa Dash
Hundreds of people dressed as Santa Claus will be pounding the pavements of Nantwich Town Centre on December 20. People of all ages and levels of fitness are invited to take part in the hilarious festive event which includes a 2.5km fun run and 5km race.
