Children living on the streets of East Africa are often seen as a nuisance and a problem, and are routinely regarded and treated with unkindness and cruelty.
Keeping children safe isn’t just about helping individual children in need. To make a difference to all children, we need communities to see them for what they are – vulnerable children in desperate need of help.
By recruiting the support of communities from which children run away, and those with children living on the streets, we can help and support many more children than we could by only reaching out to them individually
We work to make children more visible to communities by holding events and joining forces with other NGOs to celebrate awareness raising initiatives such as International Day For Street Children.
