The inspiration behind the Bear Grylls Survival Race comes from his belief that overcoming adversity in the wild can build a man or woman's physical and mental strength in a totally unique way.

The Bear Grylls Survival Race has been created by Bear Grylls and his crack team of survival and OCR (obstacle racing) enthusiasts.

With two distances, 5k and 10k, this is perfect for the first-timer or anyone who feels like a real challenge. Take on the challenge on your own or in a team - the 5k and 10k course is designed to push you to your limits. You will tackle a number of fantastic obstacles, climbs and crawls. With a little bit of training, a spoonful of elbow grease, a shot of grit and determination and teamwork,  both the 5k and 10k will not only be manageable but enjoyable!

What you'll get:

What you'll get:
  • Lots of support. We're not a huge charity, which means we can be there for our runners on a more personal level. We're always happy to help wherever we can.
  • Railway Children running vest. You might not spot loads out on the course, but our runners wear them with pride knowing they're part of a special community that's changing children's lives.
  • Fundraising handbook. We have lots of resources to make your fundraising simple and a success!

Why run for Railway Children?

Over the last 20 years we have helped make things better for over 270,000 street children. Better tonight, tomorrow, next week and next year. But we’re only just getting started.

We need you to join our fight for children who have nowhere to go and no-one to turn to. With your help we can give more children a future and keep them safe - for good.
