Working with our partner Liverpool Young Runaways and Unity Radio (www.unityradio.fm) we delivered a radio project with young people, the group produced, recorded and broadcasted their own two hour radio show about issues of young people going missing or running away.
As part of the show the young people wrote and performed a radio drama. We thought the best way to help young people learn about keeping safe and the risk and dangers of going missing was to hear it directly from other young people themselves.
We have created a resource that centers on the young people’s radio drama “Target” the resource provides a session plan with guidance for discussion, an evaluation and information about where to get support. The show has been made by young people for young people, it’s a great to use as teaching and learning resource in schools or youth settings.
If you have any questions about these resources or would like any further information, please email hello@railwaychildren.org.uk.
We'd love to hear your feedback following delivery of these resources in your school or youth group, and would be grateful if you'd complete our short survey.
