HST back on track to support Railway Children
- Date: 20/01/2017
The Branch Line Society in conjunction with Virgin Trains East Coast (VTEC), 125 Group and PLEG is delighted to announce the launch of an exciting High Speed Train special. This event has been organised in celebration of 40 years of the iconic train and will be an opportunity to raise valuable funds towards the on-going work of Railway Children.
Reliving the momentous journey made by the Intercity 125, the Branch Line Society have chartered a special train to take rail fans along the original route from Kings Cross to Edinburgh on March 18.
Ticket-holders will be travelling in style, enjoying an array of food and drinks as they visit significant stations along the route to Craigentinny and back.
The nine-coach train will take an unusual route in order to maximise the stations and stops available for enthusiasts to visit and those on board will include the train’s original designer Sir Kenneth Grange.
Thanks to our valued partnership with the organisers, every passenger will also be supporting Railway Children and our work across the UK, India and Africa.
This collaboration with the Branch Line Society will help us in our fight to change the lives of street children.
