Ben's story
Ben* was 13 when British Transport Police intervened in a fight when he was being beaten up on the way home from school, by the same bullies that were making his life a misery in school.
We met up with Ben and found out he’d had a hard time settling into school since moving to the area when his parents split up.
He shared his worries with us and we contacted the school to see if they could help too, making sure he had lunchtime clubs to join and ways of getting to know more people and make new friends. Our sessions helped him boost his self-confidence and after a few short weeks we knew Ben was happier and safer at school.
