Coping with School and Exam Stress

Education is important. It can open doors into college or university and help you achieve your dreams.

But exam results aren’t the be-all and end-all, and they don’t define who you are. With hard work, determination and a positive attitude, doors start opening as you go through life.

It can be hard at school not to compare yourself to everyone else.

You might feel like everyone else is doing fine and you’re the only one struggling.

But remember, everyone learns differently.

It’s okay to ask for help, both with school and your personal life. It’s human to struggle sometimes. It doesn’t mean you’re less intelligent or less hard working than anyone else – just that your mind might work differently in some ways, and that’s okay.

“Don’t put too much pressure on yourself and remember that ‘the world needs all kinds of minds.” – Millie, aged 19
