Who is the training for?

  • Rail industry colleagues - senior management, office staff, and frontline staff
  • Rail community colleagues - if you or your organisation work in or around the stations we have training material to help you raise safeguarding awareness in your area, know how to report safeguarding concerns, who to go to for support and where to access further information.

What does training aim to do?

  • Raise awareness and provide guidance
  • Recognise the signs of vulnerability
  • Know how to respond and report concerns
  • Understand more about safeguarding issues on the rail network

With the help, support and leadership of Railway Children we have been able to disseminate the SRS and implement a safeguarding strategy across GWR. This has already made a huge impact to the vulnerable people who travel within our network
