Our supporters are the lifeblood of our organisation. We simply could not achieve what we do without their incredible generosity. Every one of them deserves our respect and admiration – and of course our extreme gratitude.
On this page we want to celebrate just a few of those people who have carried out all manner of weird and wonderful challenge events to raise money for us. Whether you’ve climbed a mountain, baked a cake, read books or waxed your chest – every pound you’ve raised will help us change the lives of children around the world who have no-one else to care for and protect them. Purcell Singers
During the festive period this award-winning chamber choir spent two hours carolling at Charing Cross Station in London to support our work across the world. They raised a fantastic £827.75 - thank you all!
Ashford College
During their Community Week, students from Ashford College in Kent organised pop-up stalls at their local railway station to raise funds for Railway Children. Stalls included nail-painting and music to entertain passengers.
St Mary's Church
Thank you so much to the children and leaders who arranged their own Sleepout last week at St Mary's Church in Nantwich. They raised £630 to help us change lives in the UK, India and Tanzania.
Robert Baughan
Congratulations to long-standing Railway Children supporter Robert who successfully completed the Purbeck Marathon, which includes over 3,000 ft of uphill climbs, in under six hours! Well done Robert and thanks so much.
Matthew Powlesland
Thank you to Matthew who raised over £1,000 for Railway Children's projects supporting vulnerable children, in loving memory of his mother Sarah. He took on the epic challenge of the New Forest Marathon in September 2022.
Debbie Atha
In the lead up to this year's 3 Peaks By Rail Challenge, Debbie took on the Nottingham Half Marathon and raised £717 towards her team's fundraiser. Their aim is to raise £8,000 for Railway Children before the main event this summer.
