Three Peaks by Rail raises £2.4 million since launch

The 2016 Three Peaks Challenge has raised close to £165,000 for the charity Railway Children, which supports children at risk on the streets. Since its launch in 2004, the annual event has now raised £2.4 million, helping the charity reach 5,000 new children in need every year across the world, providing shelter, food, clothing, medical supplies, education and counselling.

Railway Children to receive support from new crowdfunded airline

Railway Children is delighted to announce a partnership with People Over Profit (POP), a new, low-cost, long-haul airline. POP will provide direct flights between the UK and Amritsar (Punjab) and Ahmedabad (Gujarat), in India. POP is planning that its first flight will depart from Stansted Airport this autumn 2016, with three services weekly to each destination.
