Tour De Yorkshire: riding high after Sportive success

On Sunday 13 July, 160 cycling enthusiasts followed in the pedal turns of their cycling heroes, pushing themselves to their physical and mental limits, by completing Railway Children's Tour de Yorkshire sportive. Kings Cross Station fundraiser gears up for Tour de France

It's a massive year for cycling in the UK with the biggest annual sporting event in the world taking place on our doorstep. On 5 July all eyes will be on North Yorkshire, as it hosts the Grand Depart of the Tour de France starting in Leeds. To celebrate the occasion, Railway Children and a team from East Cost Trains will be setting up camp on Kings Cross Station's concourse - next to the 'tree trunk' - from Wednesday 2 July to Monday 7 July.
